Acceptance
By creating an account, accessing the OpenDocs platform, or using any related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and any additional policies incorporated by reference. If you are using OpenDocs on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials, for all activity that occurs under your account, and for ensuring that the information associated with your account remains accurate and current. You must promptly notify OpenDocs if you suspect unauthorized access or a security incident affecting your account.
Acceptable Use
You may not use OpenDocs to violate applicable law, infringe the rights of others, distribute malicious code, interfere with service integrity, attempt unauthorized access, or upload content that is fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise unlawful. OpenDocs may investigate misuse and take appropriate action to protect users, systems, and third parties.
Intellectual Property
OpenDocs and its related software, branding, design elements, and platform content are owned by OpenDocs or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the platform in accordance with these terms, no license or ownership interest is transferred to you. You retain rights to content you submit, subject to any permissions needed for OpenDocs to host, process, and display that content in order to provide the service.
Service Availability
OpenDocs works to maintain reliable access to the platform, but service availability may be affected by maintenance, updates, third-party dependencies, security events, or circumstances beyond reasonable control. OpenDocs may modify, suspend, or discontinue features when necessary to operate, secure, or improve the service.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpenDocs and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the platform. OpenDocs' aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will be limited to the amount paid, if any, for access to the applicable service during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Termination
OpenDocs may suspend or terminate access to the platform if you violate these terms, create risk for other users or the service, or if continued access is no longer commercially or operationally feasible. You may stop using the service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect after access ends.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the OpenDocs platform will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California, and the parties consent to that jurisdiction and venue.
